Background: Tsubame is a waitress working at Tae's restaurant, Akabeko. Very much like Yahiko, she is working in order to pay off debts to a group of people who say they're her family's masters. If she didn't give them money, they would abuse her and possibly blackmail her in any way they can. With Yahiko's help, Tsubame is soon saved from these group of people and able to continue on with her life. Tsubame is a quiet girl who comes off right away as pure and innocent. She is the type who would rather help others than receive any help for herself. According to Watsuki's notes, she is designed after Hotaru (Sailor Saturn) from the Sailor Moon series because he wanted Tsubame to be as ordinary and normal as possible. Despite her quiet personality, Tsubame is also the type to jump up and try to make things right without hesitation.
