What is a Fanlisting? : If you're not sure what a fanlisting is, it is a place for all fans of a particular show, movie, actor, actress, singer, etc. to come together and build the biggest listing of people from all around the world who are fans of that subject. In this case, this is the fanlisting for the relationship between Gui Gui and Wang Zi from the taiwanese drama Brown Sugar Macchiato.

What's this show about? : This series is about six guys (Lollipop; Bang Bang Tang) who find out that they all share the same father and that their father will evenly split his life savings to the six of them. However, this comes with a condition. The six brothers must now live under the same roof for a year as well as go to the same school together. With this, there are many rules they must abide by in order to inherit the money after one year (such as all six getting home before midnight). To make matters worse, their new class is dominated by the girls who call each other sisters (Hei Se Hui Mei Mei). The brothers decide to once and for all stop these nine "wicked" girls and become the new leaders of the classroom. However, will they let love and friendship get tangled with their minds set on revenge?

Who is Wang Zi? He's the prince of this so-called fairytale that we have. Wang Zi's name translated into English literally means 'prince' and not only does he look like one, he has an aura about him too. In the show, it is clear that Wang Zi is the naturally smart type and prefers to be laid back and composed. Many times, you will see Wang Zi kicked back and reading a book. Wang Zi has won the hearts of a few girls, but is unable to respond to them nicely without hurting them because he is still unexperienced with girls. Wang Zi is also the type who will not stop until he finds/gets a definite answer. He is mature in many fields, but is still an amatuer when it comes to love and it is through Gui Gui that he finally grows up to live up to his princely name.

Who is Gui Gui? Gui Gui (translated literally means 'ghost') is the ghost - um, supposedly the princess of the story. A failed princess. At first sight, Gui Gui is hopelessly in love with Wang Zi and decides to go after him. However, because Gui Gui enjoys pulling pranks on others and is loud and bubbly, Wang Zi, who prefers to be quiet and left alone, is unattracted to her and unable to return her feelings. Nonetheless, Gui Gui works hard to try and win Wang Zi's love and continues to hope that one day, he will come to like her back. Aside from pulling pranks, Gui Gui is a key thinker in the sisters' plans and is usually depended on to lead the others because she has a sense of independence about her. However, deep down inside, there is still a timid princess who wishes to find true love.

Prince and a Ghost?! For Gui Gui and Wang Zi, their relationship is quite clear in the beginning of the series; Gui Gui likes Wang Zi, but Wang Zi doesn't like girls like Gui Gui (because she's loud, sly, and cunning). Nonetheless, Gui Gui is determined in making Wang Zi hers. Gui Gui has a stalker kind of aura around her whenever she's around Wang Zi and Wang Zi talks about how he feels a chill as if a ghost is following him. The truth is that it is a ghost - it's Gui Gui. For our determined ghost, winning Wang Zi's heart is a difficult task and a challenge that will be hard to accomplish. However, Gui Gui still tries every thing she can think of and soon forgets about sleeping or even eating.
It is hard for Gui Gui to get close to Wang Zi because she doesn't feel that she is anything like a princess who deserves Wang Zi. When she does things for him, like saving him from a banana peel, it may come off to Wang Zi as if she did a bad thing to him, but the truth is that she's trying to help him out in any way possible.
When Gui Gui finds out that she has cancer, she decides that she doesn't deserve any of Wang Zi's love. She ends up trying to get Xiao Xun and Wang Zi to hook up together because Xiao Xun is smart and composed, very much like Wang Zi himself. She wholeheartedly decides to give up on Wang Zi and not tell anyone of her illness. Wang Zi notices the change in Gui Gui and can't help, but wonder why she's not onto him like always. He decides to investigate and when Gui Gui confesses about her illness, he's heartbroken and distressed about it. Gui Gui asks him if he likes her and he slowly nods his head. Wang Zi realizes that he and Xiao Xun are too much alike and that their relationship can never get any where as more than friends.
It is Gui Gui who can bring the carefreeness and fun out of Wang Zi. Gui Gui is the one who can make Wang Zi feel out of his element and Wang Zi comes to realize this when Gui Gui tells him she's probably going to die soon. You can see then that Wang Zi cares for Gui Gui deeply because he then takes care of her and stands by her side all the time. When it turns out that Gui Gui got someone else's patient files instead of her own and that she really doesn't have cancer, Wang Zi gets mad but is happy that Gui Gui will stay. Furthermore, he continues to stay by her side.
